Rajagiri Hospital

Rajagiri Hospital is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital in the south Indian city of Kochi, Kerala. Established in 2014,[1] it is owned and managed by Rajagiri (CMI) group of institutions. It is one of the few hospitals in the country with both JCI and NABH accreditation.[2][3]

Rajagiri Healthcare and Education Project is a joint initiative of CMI Sacred Heart Province, together with two of its prominent units, St. Antony's Monastery, Aluva and Sacred Heart Monastery, Thevara.[4]

Overview

Rajagiri Hospital was established in 2014 with the aim of providing quality and affordable medical care to the public. The hospital is a part of the Rajagiri (CMI) group of institutions, which has a history of creating a unique culture in the educational sector. The hospital is spread over 40 acres of green landscape in the tranquil area of Chunangamvely, Aluva and has 500 beds. It is also conveniently located close to the Cochin International Airport.

Facilities

The hospital offers a range of medical services including liver transplantation, kidney transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, general medicine, spinal surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreato (Gl) surgery, dermatology, plastics-microvascular and cosmetic surgery, pathology, pediatric surgery, rheumatology, adolescent medicine, endocrinology, ENT, physical medicine, thoracic surgery, gerontology, dental surgery with specialties, hematology, ophthalmology, and interventional radiology.[5]

The hospital's radiology services are located in a wing covering an area of 5000 square feet, equipped with advanced medical equipment including a 3.0-tesla MRI unit, 128-slice CT scan, mammography, digital fluoroscopy and radiographic units, OPG, bone densitometry, TV and TEE imaging, high-end colour doppler ultrasound scanner, endovascular surgery facilities, and digital catheterisation laboratories.
