Richard M. Scofield
Richard M. Scofield is a former American Lieutenant General in the United States Air Force[1] and later served as the vice president for acquisition management with Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings (GenCorp Aerojet).[2]

He served as special assistant to assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.[1] He has also served as program director for F-117 and later for the B-2.
Early life and education
Scofield earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1961.[1] He later earned a master's degree in business administration from University of Oklahoma in 1970.[1] He later earned a Master of Science degree in systems management from University of Southern California in 1973.[1]
Career
He spent eight years as the Air Force's B-2 program manager.[1] He started in the job as a colonel in 1983 and rose to become a two-star general in the same position.[3]
Pentagon
From 1991 to 1994, he served as program executive director for strategic systems program, program executive officer for bomber, missiles and trainers at the Pentagon. He later served as special assistant to assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.[1]
