SS Stanbrook

The Stanbrook, formerly known as Lancer,[1] was a steamship of the British merchant navy famous for the heroic action of its captain, Archibald Dickson,[2] who decided to save Spanish Republican families trapped in the port of Alicante on March 28, 1939, at the end of the Spanish Civil War.[3]
