Sandy Scofield

Sandy Scofield is a Métis Canadian musician, and songwriter.[1] She composed a piece for the 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony.[2][3]

She won a "best song" award from Canadian Aboriginal Music Award.[4][5][6] She won an "Aboriginal Recording of the Year," at the Western Canada Music Awards.[7]

Life

She graduated from Simon Fraser University.[8]

She was a member of the Crimpolines,[9] Iskwew Singers, and Nitsiwakun. She collaborated with Doreen Manuel.[10]

She appeared at Canadian folk festivals.[11]
