Sara Ismael

Sara Ismael Mohamed Salgueda (Arabic: سارة اسماعيل: born 23 January 1999) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Segunda Federación club Zaragoza CFF. Born and raised in Spain to an Egyptian father and a Spanish mother, she is capped for the Egypt women's national team.[2]

Early life

She started playing football at the age of twelve.[3]

Club career

Ismael started her senior career with Spanish side Barcelona B, playing for the club during the Coronavirus pandemic.[4] During the 2017/18 season, she suffered two injuries while playing for the club.[5] While playing for the club, she was able to train with the first team of Barcelona.[6]

Her career has been marked by injuries.[7] In 2022, she signed for Spanish side Zaragoza CFF.[8] During the 2023/23 season, she was regarded as one of the highest performing players for the club.[9]

International career

Ismael has represented the Egypt women's national football team internationally.[10]

Queen's League

Ismael was the first player to be selected in the Queen's League draft.[11] She was regarded as one of the players in the draft with the highest ability.[12]

Ismael mainly operates as a midfielder and is known for her speed.[13]
