A much anticipated return for 2023 has been announced as the “International Ayr Show - Festival Of Flight”[3]

The new styled “Ayrshow” is being organised by South Ayrshire Council in association with SKYLAB, who will organise and oversee the flying elements of the festival. [4]

This new festival is not linked to the previous organisers of TSIA and is a wholly new venture for 2023.[4]

The Festival Of Flight is scheduled to take place between Friday 8th September and Sunday 10th September 2023, with the airshow due to take place on Saturday 9th September 2023 at the Low Green, Ayr.[5]

Venue

TSIA was held at Ayr Low Green.

The subsequent 2023 revival will be held in Ayr, with the main airshow taking place along the coastline, as per the previous incarnation.[6]

Operation

TSIA is created and hosted by the Scottish International Airshow. Inside of the air show area, it is patrolled by police and security guards. Typically, the order of the aircraft's are the Typhoon, older planes such as the Douglas DC3 and The Beech 18's. Followed by the Seaplanes and then the F18 and the red arrows. In between these aircraft there are some smaller and older planes that fly in formation.[7]

At the airshow, there are food stands, stalls, Various Funfair Rides, exhibitions from the British Armed Forces and British police such as The British Army, Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.[8]
