Career
Sergei Kolobashkin entered the video game industry when, in 2014, he met Bernie Stolar, a widely considered guru of video games, with executive roles in Atari, Sony and SEGA under his belt. Sergei joined West End Interactive that same year and started learning the craft.[1]
In 2017, Sergei made a decision to start 110 Industries and move to London. 110 Industries was originally conceived as a video game publisher but soon started growing into a full service entertainment company with multiple branches focusing on video games, comic books, feature films and music.[2] This extraordinary growth inspired 110 Industries to move its headquarters from the UK to Switzerland. 110 Industries continued to operate in stealth mode until Tokyo Game Show 2021, where the company announced Wanted: Dead, Vengeance is Mine and Red Goes Faster, three brand new pieces of intellectual property developed in-house.[3]
In early 2022, Sergei teamed up with Giorgio Moroder and Raney Shockne to work on the soundtrack for Vengeance is Mine, an upcoming 110 Industries hack and slash video game.[4] The partnership resulted in more than just one song. On December 20th, 2022, Stefanie Joosten released Singing to the Sky, helmed by Giorgio Moroder as the executive producer and produced by Raney Shockne and Sergei Kolobashkin.[5]
In September, 2022, Sergei and 110 Industries went to Japan for the return of the Tokyo Game Show. The Wanted: Dead booth on the show floor was made up in the fashion of a 1950s American diner.[6] The Wanted: Dead trailer for TGS2022 featured "Through the Night", a song by Stefanie Joosten and Raney Shockne, that was later released as a single and served as the opening track on the game's soundtrack, produced by Shockne and Kolobashkin.[7]
In 2023, almost two months before the launch of Wanted: Dead, Sergei stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer of 110 Industries and became a creative consultant for the company.[8] Wanted: Dead launched on February 14, 2023 to polarising reviews, with some critics comparing the game to the 1960s French New Wave cinema.[9]
