Smilavičy
Smilavičy (Belarusian: Смілавічы; Polish: Śmiłowicze; Russian: Смило́вичи, romanized: Smilovichi; Yiddish: סמילאָוויץ, romanized: Smilovitz) is a city in Belarus in the Chervyen District of Minsk Region, located at 53.75°N 28.02°E at 156 m altitude.[1]

In Jewish tradition it is known as Smilovitz, and was a shtetl in the Russian Empire. The village is the birthplace of the renowned painter Chaïm Soutine.
