Sonprayag

Sonprayag is a village in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state in India. Approx. 73 Kilometres from Rudraprayag Town, the district headquarter. Sonprayag is situated at the confluence of two rivers, Basuki and Mandakini. It is one of the most important meeting points on the Kedarnath Route. Sonprayag is importatnt junction , one route go to Kedarnath and another route goes to triyuginarayan temple.

It is the last point on the Kedarnath route to which tourists can travel by private car or taxi. At this point, tourists have to travel by public taxi to Gaurikund.

Sonprayag is reachable only by road. There is no railway junction and no airport. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. The nearest railway stations are Haridwar and Rishikesh.
