Strong Republic (Lebanon)
Strong Republic (Arabic: تكتل الجمهورية القوية) is the parliamentary bloc of the Lebanese Forces in the Lebanese Parliament. Headed by Georges Adwan, it consisted of 15 deputies after the 2018 general election and expanded to 19 deputies after the 2022 general election.[1]

2005 Bloc
LF MPs didn't vote for Nabih Berri in the 2005 Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament election.[2]
On 23 January 2006, MP Edmond Naim died.[3]
2009 Bloc
LF MPs didn't vote for Nabih Berri in the 2009 Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament election.[4]
On 31 May 2012, MP Farid Habib died.[5]
On 15 July 2012, LF candidate Fadi Karam won the by-elections defeating SSNP candidate Walid Al Azar to fill the seat of Farid Habib.[6]
In 2012, MP Elie Keyrouz proposed a law to abolish the death penalty in Lebanon.[7]
In 2013, MP Sethrida Geagea, Elie Keyrouz and Shant Chinchinian proposed a law to abolish the law Article 522.[8]
On 4 April 2014, the bloc nominated party leader Samir Geagea for the 2014 Lebanese presidential election.[9]
In 2016, the bloc proposed a law that protects women and other family members from domestic violence.[10]
2018 Bloc
LF MPs didn't vote for Nabih Berri in the 2018 Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament election for the exception of Cesar Maalouf who was later kicked out of the bloc on 20 August 2021.[11][12]
On 31 August 2020, the entire bloc named Nawaf Salam to form the gov unlike the rest (FPM, FM, HA, Amal, Marada) that named Mustapha Adib by Emmanuel Macron orders.[13]
On 22 October 2020, MP Jean Talouzian was kicked out of the LF bloc when he nominated Saad Hariri to form the gov unlike the rest of the LF bloc.[14]
2022 Bloc
LF MPs didn't vote for Nabih Berri in the 2022 Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament election,[15] instead they wrote "the strong republic" on their papers.[16]
On 19 July 2022, MP Razi El-Hage proposed a law to adopt the majority system in the municipal elections.[17]
On 14 September 2022, LF boycotted the parliament session due to Bachir Gemayel assassination memorial.[18]
LF endorsed Michel Moawad for the 2022-2023 Lebanese presidential election.[19]
