Surongo

Surongo (Bengali: সুড়ঙ্গ transl. The Tunnel) is an upcoming Bangladeshi thriller film. It is directed by Raihan Rafi. It is the debut film for Afran Nisho.[1][2] Toma Mirza is co-star of Afran Nisho in this film.[3] This film going to be released in theatres in upcoming Eid al-Adha 2023.

Plot

It is rumored that the plot is has similarities with a theft incident back in 2014. That year, a man named Sohail stole Tk 16.4 million from the branch of Sonali Bank in Kishoreganj by making a long tunnel. He was caught by the police within two days of the theft even though he had been in the tunnel for 2 years.[4][5]

Production

On 28th March 2023, the auspicious maharat of Surongo film was held.[5][6] Director Raihan Rafi started shooting in the first week of March 2023. This film is jointly produced by Chorki and Alpha i Studios Limited. Screenplay of the film is written by Nazim Ud Daula. This movie was shot in remote areas of Sunamganj and Chittagong.[5] The teaser of 'Surongo' was released on 10 May 2023.[7][8][9][10]

Release

"Surongo" will hit theaters on Eid al-Adha 2023.[9][10][11]
