Talash (2022 film)

Talash (Bengali: তালাশ transl. The Search) is a 2022 Bangladeshi Bangla-language romantic thriller film directed by Saikat Nasir and produced by Cleopatra Films. The film stars Ador Azad (debut film), Shobnom Bubly and Asif Ahsan Khan in as the Leading roles and Dipok Sumon, Fakhurul Bashar Masum and many more in as support roles. Bubly and newcomer Ador Azad as first time in a film and Asad Zaman jointly wrote the story of the film produced by under the banner of Cleopatra Films.[1]

The film was released on 17 June 2022 in theaters.[2][3][4]

Reception

Bangladesh Post wrote that "Regarding the context, Ador said, after releasing two songs and first look now the trailer of the film has come. After the release of the two songs. I got a lot of response. The movie was supposed to be released a long time but it was not possible due to Corona (COVID-19). However, I can say that the audience will not be disappointed after watching my first film".[5] The New Nation wrote that "This movie is very touching and the story of the movie is excellent in one word. Viewers are going to get a good story based movie and hopefully, they will like this new pair of us in the movie".[6] The Daily Star wrote that "Saikat Nasir directorial film Talash and Anonno Mamun's Omanush were released last Friday (17 June). Both movies received lukewarm response in theatres, and the films failed miserably in capturing the attention of audiences across cinema halls".[7] The Business Standard wrote that "Director Saikat Nasir said, "We have often seen that small budget productions have the ability to surpass their big budget counterparts through compelling stories, direction and performances. The story of this movie is my masterpiece and budget wasn't not a concern here. Everyone has performed admirably, including Ador-Bubly".[8]
