Mitchell was born on July 16, 1993, and started strength training for football at high school.[1] He then entered his first strength contest in Houston in 2012.[1]
He has since entered many events and won America's Strongest Man in Long Beach, California in 2018.[1] He now competes at the top tier of the sport and placed fourth in the 2023 events for both the Arnold Strongman Classic and World's Strongest Man.[2]
He holds the world record for the Thor's Hammer hold, holding the 65-pound hammer at arm's length for 63 seconds in 2023.[3]
