The Volkswagen ID.7 is a battery electric large family car (E-segment) produced by Volkswagen and scheduled for launch in April 2023.[4]

A camouflaged near-production version was previewed on January 4, 2023 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.[5][6]
Concepts
ID. Space Vizzion
A wagon variant is in development, as confirmed by pre-production prototypes,[7] serving as the production version of the ID. Space Vizzion concept.[8]
ID. Aero
The model was first previewed by the Volkswagen ID. Aero concept car in June 2022.[9][10]
ID.Next
Unveiled in April 2023, the Volkswagen ID.Next previews the ID.7's sister model for the Chinese market, which will be manufactured by SAIC Volkswagen, while the ID.7 will be produced by FAW-Volkswagen.[11]
Overview
The official world premiere of the all-electric ID.7 took place on April 17, 2023, simultaneously in Berlin and at the Shanghai Auto Show.[12] The car features lithium-ion battery packs with usable capacities of 77 kWh and 85 kWh.[13][14]
Interior
The dashboard features a small digital instrument display as well as a head-up display with augmented reality functions for sat nav and in the center a new 15.0-inch infotainment touchscreen.[15] It is equipped with a new software and touch controls after VW received complaints about the system used in its other models.[16]
