Undavalli Sridevi

Dr. Undavalli Sridevi is an Indian politician and a doctor by profession from the state of Andhra Pradesh. She is the incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly from Tadikonda Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh.[1]

Early life and career

Undavalli Sridevi was born in 1969 in Tadikonda,Guntur district. She completed her MBBS from Bangalore in 1993. Her father Undavalli Subbarao contested as MLA from Tadikonda in 1978 from Reddy Congress.[2]

In 1978, her father, Vundavalli Subbarao Garu, entered politics and contested for Tadikonda MLA in the REDDY CONGRESS PARTY. In addition to serving as the chairman of corporate societies, Vundavalli Subbarraogaru was a former Jillaparishet member. Despite holding a position as a doctor, Dr. Vundalvalli Sridevi Garu’s major goal is to help others and uphold social justice. She, therefore, joined the YSRCP party in 2017 and served as the Tadikonda constitution’s in-charge in 2018. The father of Vundavalli Sridevi, who is also involved in politics, wanted his daughter to enter politics in the 2019 general elections on behalf of the YSR Congress Party. She entered the race in 2019 from the Tadikonda constituency and won as an MLA with the bare minimum of votes based on his father’s interests and ideology. She had a lifelong passion for helping others, and her father suggested she consider politics as a way to help more people. One of the few graduates serving as state legislators is Sridevi in Andhra Pradesh Government. Dr.Vundavalli Sridevi is an Indian politician currently a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh state.
