It also offers some online tools for personal finance management. In addition to posting partner content from other web sites, it posts original stories by its team of staff journalists. In short, Yahoo finance is a financial news and management platform owned by Yahoo!

Something about this which is also happening with other companies is their motivation to have products in every area of work. For example, google docs is an attempt to compete with word as a text processor. Yahoo! is also seeking to compete with other finance managers and this is one of the main reasons why Yahoo! finance was created.

In 2017, Yahoo! Finance added the feature to look at news surrounding cryptocurrency.[4] It lists over 9,000 unique coins including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
