2021 Henan floods

From 17-31 July 2021, China's Henan province has been affected by flooding caused by a long period of heavy rainfall. There had been record-breaking maximum rainfall in an hour, 201.9 millimetres (7.95 in), was seen in Zhengzhou, the capital of the province.[1] The floods and landslides have killed least 56 people with at least 5 went missing. 585,193 people were evacuated, 919,519 were relocated, and 7.579 million people were affected.[2]

The floods were made more likely because of extreme weather caused by climate change in China.[3][4][5]
