2021 Rio de Janeiro shootout
On 6 May 2021, at least 25 people were killed in a shootout between police and drug traffickers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.[1] The raid happened in Jacarezinho, a favela in Rio de Janeiro. The police raid happened before noon, following reports that a local drug gang was trying to recruit children.[2]
