Assassination of Andrei Karlov
On 19 December 2016, Russian diplomat Andrei Karlov was shot dead during an exhibition in Ankara, Turkey.[1] He was shot dead by an assailant who was angry about Russian involvement in Syria and the deaths of civilians in Aleppo.[2]
