Caroline Kennedy
Caroline Bouvier Kennedy (born November 27, 1957) is an American author, attorney, and diplomat who is the current United States Ambassador to Australia serving under Joe Biden since 2022. She previously served as the United States Ambassador to Japan under Barack Obama from 2013 to 2017. She is the only living and surviving child of her parents, President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.

Biography
Early life and education
Caroline Bouvier Kennedy was born on November 27, 1957, at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan to then-senator John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. She had three other siblings named, Arabella Kennedy and Patrick Bouvier Kennedy, but they both died of premature birth and she had a younger brother named John F. Kennedy Jr., who was born in November 1960.
Caroline lived in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. for the first three years of her life and when she was three years old, the Kennedy family became the new First Family of the United States and moved into the White House after her father inaugurated as the 35th President of the United States. Caroline only lived in the White House from 1961 until her father's assassination in 1963.
She attended schools such as, Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, The Brearley School, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Concord Academy, Harvard University, and Columbia Law School.
Marriage, children, and personal life
Caroline and Edwin Schlossberg were married at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, Massachusetts on July 19, 1986. They have three children together, two daughters named, Rose Schlossberg and Tatiana Schlossberg, and a son named Jack Schlossberg.
Political career
United States Ambassador to Japan (2013–2017)
Caroline was appointed by then-President Barack Obama as the 29th United States Ambassador to Japan in 2013. In October 2013, she was confirmed by the Senate and began her official duties serving the the Obama administration as the ambassador to Japan.
She served as the ambassador to Japan from 2013 until she resigned in January 2017 near the end of Obama's term in office and upon inauguration of his successor, Donald Trump.
United States Ambassador to Australia
In May 2021, President Joe Biden nominated Caroline to be the next United States Ambassador to Australia.[1][2] [3] Caroline was officially nominated in December 2021[4] and was officially confirmed by the Senate in May 2022.[5] In June 2022 officially was sworn in as the ambassador to Australia[6] and later began her official duties serving in the Biden administration.
