Francis X. Suarez
Francis Xavier Suarez (/swɑːˈrɛz/; born October 6, 1977) is an American attorney and politician. He is the 33rd and current Mayor of Miami. He was elected on November 7, 2017 with 86 percent of the vote.[1]

Suarez is the first Miami-born mayor. He is a Republican, but the office of the City of Miami Mayor is nonpartisan. Suarez is the son of former Miami Mayor and current Miami-Dade County Commissioner Xavier Suarez.
In March 2020, Suarez was infected with the COVID-19.[2]
Saurez is seen as a possible candidate for U.S. President or running mate choice in the 2024 presidential election.[3][4]
