The 2020 presidential campaign of John Hickenlooper officially began on March 4, 2019, in a campaign video titled “Standing Tall” was released announcing the campaign.[2][3] Before announcing his campaign, Hickenlooper was widely speculated to run for president in 2020.

Hickenlooper formally launched his campaign on March 7, 2019, in Denver, Colorado.[4] He ended his campaign on August 15, 2019 in order to focus on a senate run against Senator Cory Gardner.[5]
