John Kenneth Galbraith
John Kenneth Galbraith[lower-alpha 1] OC (October 15, 1908 – April 29, 2006), also known as Ken Galbraith, was a Canadian-American economist, diplomat, public official and intellectual. He supported liberalism and post-Keynesian economics.[1][2]

Galbraith was a long-time Harvard faculty member.[3]
A Democrat, he worked under the administrations of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson. He was United States Ambassador to India under the Kennedy administration.[4][5]
Galbraith died of natural causes at a hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 29, 2006 at the age of 97.[5]
