July 2018 Lombok earthquake

A Mw 6.4 earthquake struck the island of Lombok on the morning of 29 July 2018 at a shallow depth of 6.4 km (4.0 mi). Large damage was reported in the area, and authorities said that 20 people were killed in the earthquake while hundreds were injured.[4][5]

The epicentre was located in Sembalun Subdistrict, East Lombok Regency. The earthquake was a foreshock for the more powerful 6.9 earthquake which struck the island a week later.[6]
