Kōhei Uchimura

Kōhei Uchimura (内村航平, Uchimura Kōhei, born January 3, 1989) is a Japanese athlete. He is best known as a gymnast.[1]

In this Japanese name, the family name is Uchimara.

Career

Kohei Uchimura has won the world championships in gymnastics for three years — 2009, 2010 and 2011.[2]

Uchimura was part of a team which won the team silver medal in gymnastics at the 2012 Summer Olympics.[3]

He also won the gold medal in the Olympic men’s all-around event in gymnastics.[4]
