Madonna of the Trail is a monument on W Main Street in Council Grove which is dedicated to the spirit of Pioneer mothers in United States. Madonna of the Trail in Council Grove is an 18-foot tall statue placed in the center of a large green area. The sculpture depicts a woman with her baby clinging to her skirt. The facial features of the sculptures are beautifully made and shows the gentleness and strength of her character. The base below the statue is 2 feet tall.
