Thad Cochran
William Thad Cochran (December 7, 1937 – May 30, 2019) was an American politician. He was a United States senator of Mississippi. He became senator in 1978 until 2018. Cochran is a member of the United States Republican Party.

On March 5, 2018, he announced his intention to resign from the Senate on April 1 for health reasons.[1]
Almost a year later from his retirement, Cochran died on May 30, 2019 at a nursing home in Oxford, Mississippi at the age of 81.[2] The cause of death was renal failure.[3]
