Ye (album)

"Ye" (/j/ YAY; stylized in all lowercase) is a hip hop album by Kanye West. It is his eighth studio album. It had 2 singles and 6 tracks. It was released on June 1, 2008 through GOOD Music and distributed by Def Jam Recordings.[1] Following controversy with an interview with TMZ, West re-recorded all the work on the album. He did this in the time of 2 weeks at West Lake Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.[2] The album has songs that feature vocals from musicians PartyNextDoor, Ty Dolla Sign, Kid Cudi, Charlie Wilson, Jeremih, 070 Snake, and others.[3][4]

West produced Ye with Mike Dean and many others.[5] It led the release of West's collaborative studio album with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts.[6][7] Later on, it suceeded Lil Nas X and Teyana Taylor's K.T.S.E..[8][9] West held a listening party for Ye on May 31, 2018. It was livestreamed from Jackson Hole.[10]
