The Wachowskis
Lana Wachowski (born June 21, 1965) and Lilly Wachowski (born December 29, 1967), known together professionally as the Wachowskis and formerly as the Wachowski Brothers, are Polish American movie directors, writers and transgender women, most famous for creating The Matrix series. Their other projects include live-action adaptation of Speed Racer, Jupiter Ascending and the Netflix television series Sense-8.

Lana Wachowski had a sex change operation in 2008 and changed her name from Larry Wachowksi.[1] Lilly changed her name from Andrew in 2016.
