AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca plc (/ˌæstrəˈzɛnəkə/) is a BritishSwedish multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company with its headquarters in Cambridge, England.[1] It is registered in London, United Kingdom. AstraZeneca Plc was formed in 1999 by merging the Swedish Astra AB and the British Zeneca Ltd. Drugs produced by the company are sold in more than 100 countries, the number of employees exceeds 57 thousand people. AstraZeneca's production facilities are located in 20 countries. Sales in 2012 amounted to almost 28 billion dollars.

AstraZeneca creates treatments for cancer, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, infection, neuroscience, respiratory and inflammation.[2]
