Bruce Bennett (Canadian football)
Lamar Bruce Bennett, Jr. (1944 – January 12, 2021) was an American college and professional football player. He was a safety in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for seven seasons during the 1960s and early 1970s.

Bennett played college football for the University of Florida, and was recognized as an All-American. He played professionally for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia.
Bennett died on January 12, 2021 in Ocala, Florida from pneumonia caused by COVID-19 at the age of 77.[1]
