Filipino language

Filipino is a form of the Tagalog language. It is the national language of the Philippines.[1] About one third of the people in the Philippines speak Tagalog as a first language.

Filipino is used as the formal name of Tagalog. Sometimes it even means the same thing. It is usually called Tagalog in the Philippines and among Filipinos to show that it is different from other Philippine languages.
