Gérard Vergnaud

Gérard Vergnaud (8 February 1933 6 June 2021) was a French mathematician, philosopher, educator, and psychologist. Vergnaud was a professor emeritus of the Centre national de la recherche scientifique in Paris. He was known for his creation of the Theory of Conceptual Fields.[1] He was born in Doué-la-Fontaine, France.

Vergnaud died on 6 June 2021 in Paris, aged 88.[2]
