Harry Kamphuis
Harry Kamphuis (9 February 1943 – 1 August 2022) was a Dutch politician and member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy.

Kamphuis was the son of insurance agent Gerrit Hendrik Kamphuis and Aaltje Bosch who lived in Stadterij.[1] He studied law at University of Groningen. Kamphuis was mayor of Bloemendaal between 1990 and 1997 and afterwards mayor of Amstelveen between 1997 and 2005. In 2000 he organized in his municipality the annual Association of Netherlands Municipalities. Kampuis was known for his somewhat aristocratic appearance, he regularly talked with the people of Amstelveen.[2][3][4]
Kamphuis died in Amstelveen on 1 August 2022, aged 79.[2]
