J. P. R. Williams

John Peter Rhys Williams MBE FRCS (born 2 March 1949) is a former Welsh rugby union player. He played as a fullback. He played for Wales between 1969 and 1981, making 55 appearances. He also played for the British Lions eight times. He started going by his initials because there was another player named John Williams.

Williams was born in Bridgend. Outside of playing rugby, he was a surgeon.[1]
