Jim Renacci

James B. Renacci (born December 3, 1958) is an American businessperson and politician. In 2011, he became the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 16th congressional district. He left the office on January 3, 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party. He served as Mayor of Wadsworth, Ohio, from 2004 to 2008.

In March 2017, Renacci announced his candidacy for the governorship of Ohio for the 2018 election.[1] However, he later dropped out to run for the United States Senate. He lost the general election to incumbent Sherrod Brown.

In June 2021, Renacci announced that he would run for Governor of Ohio against incumbent Mike DeWine for the Republican nomination.[2]
