John L. Canley

John L. Canley (February 1, 1938 – May 9, 2022) was a United States Marine and soldier. He was a recipient of the 2018 Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Huế. Canley was a gunnery sergeant during the Vietnam War.[1] Canley was born in Caledonia, Arkansas.

Canley died on May 9, 2022 in Bend, Oregon from cancer, aged 84.[2]
