Lehndi

Lehndi describes a group of Punjabi dialects which began in areas of the Punjab region west of Lahore. As Punjabi blends into the languages spoken to the west of it, Saraiki and Hindko are often grouped with the Lehndi dialects of Punjabi. When the partition of India occurred in 1947, many speakers of Lehndi dialects migrated to areas of eastern Punjab. Today, the dialects of Punjabi spoken in both Pakistan and India are mixed in origin.[2][3]
