Martha Karua
Martha Wangari Karua (/wænˈɡɑːri kəˈraʊ/; born 22 September 1957) is a Kenyan politician. She was Minister for Justice from 2005 to 2009. She also was a member of the National Assembly from 1993 to 2013.

Karua unsuccessfully ran for President of Kenya in 2013. She was picked to run for deputy president of presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the 2022 election.[2] She would lose the election to the Ruto-Gachagua ticket in August 2022.
