Michael Hardie Boys
Sir Michael Hardie Boys (born 6 October 1931) is a New Zealand jurist and was the country's 17th Governor-General, from 1996 to 2001.[1]

In 2004, he stated his opposition to New Zealand becoming a republic, stating in an interview: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."[2]
