MrBeast

Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998), more commonly known as MrBeast, is an American YouTuber. He was born in Greenville, North Carolina. He is known for his expensive stunts and philanthropy.[1] He has been seen as the creator of a new genre of YouTube videos that are expensive stunts.[2]

He is also the co-creator of Team Trees, a fundraiser for the Arbor Day Foundation which has raised over $23 million,[3][4] and Team Seas, a fundraiser for Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup.[5]

Career

History

Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in 2014 at the age of 16.

[6] Under the name of "MrBeast6000", his early content ranged from Let's Plays to "videos estimating the wealth of other YouTubers".

Today

Some of his philanthropy includes paying for eye surgery for 1000 people, giving large amounts of money to random people on the street, and giving away islands.
