Roswell UFO incident

In mid-1947, a United States Air Force balloon crashed at a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. The US military stated that it was merely a conventional weather balloon.[1] Many people believed it was a UFO or alien spacecraft that crashed. Conspiracy theorists say the government is purposely hiding the fact.
