Sandra Mason

Dame Sandra Prunella Mason, FB GCMG DA KC (born 17 January 1949) is a Barbadian politician. She is the 1st and current President of Barbados since 2021. In January 2018, she became the Governor-General of Barbados.[1][2][3][4]

In October 2021, she was elected the 1st President of Barbados and she took her oath of office on 30 November 2021 when the monarchy is abolished.[5]

Career

She was the first woman admitted to the Bar in Barbados. She was an Ambassador from Barbados, and was the first woman to serve on the Barbados Court of Appeals.[6]
