Thomas Jefferson Byrd
Thomas Jefferson Byrd (25 June 1950 – 3 October 2020) was an American actor. He was known for starring in many movies by director Spike Lee. He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in the 2003 Broadway revival of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. He was born in Griffin, Georgia.
Byrd was shot and killed in Atlanta, Georgia on 3 October 2020, aged 70.[1]
