Nació el 5 de mayo de 1977, en Corea del Sur. Estudió actuacion en cine en la universidad de Seúl. Debutó en 1996 en la serie Icing, y luego ha actuado en distintos dramas como Protect the Boss en 2011 y 7th Grade Civil Servant en 2013.
Desde que era joven profesa la religión cristiana. Sus principales pasatiempos son: nadar, bailar, hacer películas y coleccionar perfumes.
