Manually Updating Firefox

    Click on About Firefox. Firefox will open a dialog box, then automatically check for and download any available updates.

    Note: This will not work on Linux if you installed Firefox through a package manager like APT or YUM. In that case, you have to update Firefox through your package manager.[1]

    Click on Restart Firefox to Update in the dialog box. The updates will be installed when Firefox relaunches.

    • "Check for updates, but let you choose whether to install them"

    Close the tab by clicking on "x" next to the tab for "Options". Your update settings are now configured.
