- 2 teaspoons paprika

-
3Rub some olive oil onto the chicken. Don't add too much.
-
4Tie the legs and the wings snug to the chicken using cooking twine. This is known as trussing.
-
5Mix the spices together. The amounts are approximate, depending on your taste and the size of your chicken.
-
6Put the chicken on a plate and wrap up with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours. (Longer is better).
Cooking the Chicken
-
1Put the prong on the rotisserie spit and tighten it down. Then push the chicken onto it.
-
2Put the chicken on the rotisserie bar.
-
3Set the timer for 1½ hours. The cooking time is approximately 25 minutes per pound/450g.
-
4Be sure that it is completely cooked. If you have a meat thermometer, use it to check; it is ready when its internal temperature has reached 160ºF/71ºC and there is no more pink.
-
5Serve and enjoy your healthy (er) chicken dinner.
Community Q&A
-
QuestionIs there a way to make it sooner, or do I have to refrigerate it for as long as stated in the recipe?
Community AnswerYou don't have to wait, but the longer you let the chicken marinate, the better it will taste. -
QuestionWhat else can I cook in this rotisserie?
Community AnswerAnything that your rotisserie can hold. The grill should have a basket, a spit, and two sizes of forks, allowing you plenty of cooking methods. In the basket, you can cook various vegetables. -
QuestionAre chicken breasts cooked in the same way?
Community AnswerNo. Chicken breasts cook faster. If you cook them even a few minutes too long, they will be too dry.

About This Article
To cook a chicken in a George Foreman rotisserie, begin by pushing the whole chicken on to the rotisserie spit and then onto the rotisserie bar. Then, let it cook in the rotisserie for 1 and a half hours. When the timer goes off, insert a meat thermometer into the chicken. If the internal temperature reads 160 degrees Fahrenheit, your chicken is ready to eat. If it’s too cold, continue cooking it and re-take the temperature every 5 minutes until it’s ready.
