By default, only adults and elders can get married in Sims 2. There are many reasons that you might want to marry two teens, however, and there are ways to accomplish this. This wikiHow will teach you how to marry teen Sims in The Sims 2.

Method 1
Method 1 of 2:

Using a Hacked Wedding Arch

  1. 1
Open http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,8196.0.html. To marry teens using hacks, you'll need a custom wedding arch that allows Sims to marry regardless of their age or relationship.
  2. 2
Download the wedding arch. Click on ij_marhis_specialwedding.rar. This will download the files needed.

  3. 3
Extract the arch. The files for the arch are stored in the .rar file, so you'll need a program to extract them.
    • On Windows, use 7Zip. Right-click on ij_marhis_specialwedding.rar and choose Extract here. Two files will appear - ij_marhis_specialweddingarch.package and ij_marhis_specialweddingsocial.package.
    • On Mac, use The Unarchiver. Double-click on ij_marhis_specialwedding.rar to extract a folder with the .package files.
  4. 4
Place the files in your game's Downloads folder. You'll need to put both .package files in your game's Downloads folder.

Mac Players with the Super Collection: Open Finder, and click on Go in the toolbar on top of your screen. Hold down Option, and click "Library". Open Containers, then com.aspyr.sims2.appstore, then Data, then Library, then Application Support, then Aspyr, and then the folder titled The Sims 2. Your game's Downloads folder will be there.

  5. 5
Enable custom content and restart your game. Open your game and allow it to load. Once it's loaded, a window will pop up alerting you to custom content in your game. Click the box that says "Enable custom content", hit OK, and then exit out of your game. The changes will take effect the next time you start the game.
  6. 6
Place the arch on a lot. The hacked wedding arch is a simple wooden arch that costs one Simoleon. It can be found in Buy Mode, under Misc. > Parties.
  7. 7
Bring both teens to the lot. If the teens don't live on the same lot, you'll need to bring them there. Have one teen invite the other over via the phone, or use a custom teleporter like the Sim Blender to summon the Sim to the lot.
    • The teens do not need to be in a relationship to get married, and the marriage will not affect their relationship.
  8. 8
Direct the teens to get married. While controlling one of the teens, click on the wedding arch, choose Marry..., and then pick the name of the other teen. The teens will walk over to the arch and exchange rings, then kiss. Once the interaction has completed, they'll be married.
    • If the teens didn't already live together, they will move into the same household after the marriage. (If you don't want this, you'll need to move one teen back into their original household.)

Method 2
Method 2 of 2:

Using In-Game Cheats

  1. 1
Pick the teens that you want to get married. You can pick already-existing teens in the neighborhood, or you can make your own.
  2. 2
Have the teens get into a romantic relationship. Their Daily and Lifetime relationship should be at least 70 so that they both are in love, though maxing out their relationships will ensure they get married.
  3. 3
Enable agesimscheat. Press Ctrl+ Shift+C; a cheat window will appear. Type agesimscheat on and hit Enter.
    • This cheat is added in Nightlife and a few later expansions.
  4. 4
Age up both teens to adults. Click on one teen, choose Set Age..., and choose Adult. The Sim will immediately age up. Repeat this with the second teen.
  5. 5
Have the adult teens get married. Once the game views the Sims as adults, they can get married to each other.
    • Propose engagement first. Click on the other Sim, choose Propose..., and choose Engagement. Your Sim will propose to their partner, who will accept if the relationship is high enough.
    • Direct the Sims to get married. Click on a wedding arch and choose Get Married, or just click on the other Sim, choose Propose..., and select Marriage. The two Sims will exchange rings and then kiss.
  6. 6
Age the Sims back to teenagers. After the Sims have finished getting married, hold Shift and click on the adult teens. Choose Set Age..., and click Teen. Once you've done this for both Sims, they'll both be aged back down to teens, but will still be married!

Warnings

  • The game will treat the marriage like any other marriage, meaning that a married teen who flirts with another teen will be viewed as cheating.

  • The hacked wedding arch allows for marriage between any Sims, including family members and Sims who are not teens. Be careful to click the right name when getting married.
