How to Keep Your Headphones From Tangling

Did you throw your headphones in your bag again, and now they're a tangled mess? You can avoid this. Complete this process after every use, and your headphones will never be tangled.

Grip the earbuds in the palm of your hand.

    After every use of headphones, start by placing them in your right or left hand.

Use the opposite hand to wrap the cord.

    Wrap the cord around the four fingers that you gripped the earbuds with. Leaving about two inches unwrapped.

Remove the headphones from hand with unwrapped hand.

Hold the headphones with index finger and thumb.

Wrap the excess cord in the middle of the figure 8.

    Look the cord around the figure snugly, but not too tight.

Stick the last inch of the cord through the loop you just made.
