How to Log in to WeChat on iPhone or iPad

Using Your Password

Open the WeChat app on your iPhone or iPad. The WeChat icon looks like two white speech bubbles in a green box on your device's home screen.

Tap the Password field. It reads "Enter Password" below your phone number in the middle of the login screen.
- If you want to login to a different account, tap the three horizontal dots in the upper-right corner of your screen, and select Switch Account. This will let you manually enter a different number.

Enter your account password. Type your password using your keyboard.

Tap the green Log In button. It will log you into your account.

Using SMS Verification

Open the WeChat app on your iPhone or iPad. The WeChat icon looks like two white speech bubbles in a green box on your device's home screen.

Tap the Log in via SMS verification code option. It's written in blue letters below the password field. This will switch the password field to a verification code field.

Tap the Resend button. It's located next to the Code field. You will have to confirm your action in a new pop-up window.

Tap OK in the pop-up. This will confirm your action, and send you a text message with a 4-digit verification code in it.
- Make sure it's the correct phone number before you tap OK. If it's the wrong number, you will not receive a text message with the required verification code.

Note down your verification code. You will have to enter your 4-digit verification code in order to log into your account.

Tap the Code field. It reads "Enter code" below your phone number in the middle of the login screen.

Enter your verification code. Type your 4-digit verification code into the Code field.

Tap the green Log In button. It will log you into your account.
